Both! And forgive my ignorance about the olympics, but why is it soccer and until 2002 hockey (two sports for which America don't do well at, usually) had only amateur players, but baseball and basketball allowed major league stars (which America usually dominates). It's like a guarenteed medal in the Americans pockets. It doesn't seem fair

This U.S. (basketball) group is not a Dream Team. They're not even a team. Just a bunch of individuals who expected their individual talent to be enough to beat less talented squads who play as a team. They got exactly what I'd hoped and expected.

The only true Dream Team was in 1992. This year, they're barely a team.
The deal with the baseball team is even more embarrassing. At least the girls softball team is doing good.

It's strictly college players and possibly lower-rung minor league players. And the basketball team isn't a Dream Team. There was only one Dream Team, and that was in 1992. These are merely a collection of pro players who think they can waltz their way to the gold. The sixth place finish in the WC in 2002 was no fluke. International play has picked up dramatically, hence more foreign-born players in the NBA today.

U.S. basketball team losing = Now let's hope karma doesn't come and bite us in the ass with Canada at the W.C.

I was bored so I decided to make my own USA team. I'm taking into account all the players that dropped out. I'm sure this will get plenty of this > but I don't care ;D Guards Stephon Marbury Dwyane Wade Steve Francis Allen Iverson Trenton Hassell Forwards Tim Duncan Shawn Marion Donyell Marshall Kenyon Martin Brad Miller Zach Randolph Richard Jefferson Any thoughts? ;D

No Shaq, Raper Bryant, or Kevin Garnett? They declined invitations to the Olympics so I didn't include them
