So far I've read and liked;
*Macbeth *Hamlet *Othello *The Taming of the Shrew
and hated;
*Julius Caesar *Romeo & Juliet
The thing I like most about Shay-ka-spear is that even today his plays are still important because it still applys to even our lives, hundreds of years later. It's timeless.
Take Romeo and Juliet for example; I hated the play, but I do see how the ignorant bliss of teenagers can often make them have naive views of love. You can even see that in kids today. Even I had pretty askance views of love as a teenager even though I was a licentious whore.
So anyways, I'm reading Othello right now, and again, it has stuff in it that you could see in your life, jealousy & wanting to bring them down to your level. At least thats what I'm getting from it so far.

Well, I've only read Macbeth, Othello, The taming of the shrew and R & J and I liked all but R & J.
The are all very interesting but R & J is a little lame.

MacBeth is cool. Of course back in high school most of us got to see that video where they showed tits, so it made it all worth it no matter if we liked Shakespear or not.
I also like J.C., but I'm an Ancient Rome buff.

I've read Macbeth, Hamlet, Romeo & Juliet, and Twelfth Night... I was forced to read Twelfth Night in school and I absolutely HATED it. Waste of time. R&J is alright, but all the movies kind of kill it. Interesting story until it was done over and over again.

I love Macbeth, Othello, and Much Ado About Nothing.
I didn't MIND Romeo & Juliet, I think I would have liked it more if my mother didn't love it so much.

Absolutely loved Macbeth (all that dark Scots drama, witches, ghosties and ghoulies appeals to my Celtic roots!) I much more enjoy the comedys - Comedy Of Errors, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Twelfth Night and Taming of the Shrew. Hated all the Henrys after slogging through them! I love the sonnets and specific quotes from his works!
As soon go kindle fire with snow, as seek to quench the fire of love with words. ~ William Shakespeare

Hamlet and Romeo and Juliet were by far the best. I hated MacBeth.

There is a really famous quote from Hamlet, something about sparrows, I think it's in the 3rd act, but I've looked everywhere and I forgot what it was. Any Shakespeare bluffs here know which one I mean?

"There is a special providence in the fall of a sparrow. If it be now, 'tis not to come; if it be not to come, it will be now; if it be not now, yet it will come: the readiness is all: since no man has aught of what he leaves, what is't to leave betimes?"

shakespeare is too old for me. They should update them into our time language. R&J would go something like this:
get down here bitch and ride in my cadillac with spinning rims

Anyone ever read A Midsummer Night's Dream? That's my favourite.
