Bitter because they beat your 49ers? Don't forget UGA, either. I love them more than Canadians love hockey.

No one loves anything more than I love hockey. Do Canadians begin tailgating at 8am for a game 12 hours later? Do Canadians seat 86,000 for a game against an opponent that gets paid $250,000 to be their sacrifical lambs? Do you paint your face and body for every game...while not being in game attendance? Do you wish you aren't alive for a week if your team lost? Do hockey scrimmages amongst themselves get 60,000 fans to watch? Hockey to Canadians is a passion. College football to Southerners is a religion.

We don't get as pumped about hockey because the season is much longer, and games are played every 2nd day. And you can't tailgate for 12 hours in -20 C weather. We don't seat over 20,000....simply because the arenas can't hold that many.

So it's only passion that puts 55 000 people into a football stadium for 10 hours in -30 degree weather in Edmonton to watch the Heritage Classic? If we could, we'd all do it. And, like Fonzie said, it's impossible to tailgate in Canada. Even in Vancouver, where there's no snow on the ground throughout the year, temperature's can drop to -35 degrees. Only Victoria doesn't get this harsh weather...

I honetly don't think so. I'm sure there are a few that do, but other than that, the majority just want to make sure they keep getting paid what they wrere getting paid, and a big Fuck You to fans in Edmonton. They don't care if we fold.
