RR: What’s the worst practical joke you have ever played on somebody?
Zacky: The worst practical joke we ever played on anybody was our bass player (Johnny Christ) what we did was convince him that his mom was porn star, he was like ‘fuckin no way, give me proof’ and we were like we have proof but I don’t think you wanna see it... and he was like you ‘don’t fuckin have shit…’ so we had our Webmaster make a fake fully operational fake porn website and we added his mom and told the story about what she did...
Synyster: She’s the anal porn queen
Zacky: Self proclaimed anal porn queen; we all bet him $100 each that we were sure his mom was a porn star. A week later he was like ‘you don’t fuckin know anything’ so we bust out the website – and he’s about to cry he can’t believe that for the first time he has found out his mom’s a porn star
RR: Did you get paid?
Zacky: Me and Shadows (A7X vocalist) felt too bad cos it was fucked up
RR: How long did he believe you for?
Zacky: about 15 minutes
Synyster: He started crying!
Zacky: He was fuckin bummed
Synyster: I loved it, I was so happy, gonna get $100 cos he thinks his mums a fuckin anal queen porn star!
Zacky: It was fucked up shit...
RR: Who has the worst habit in the band and what is it?
Synyster: I know this one! This is gonna be a personal attack on my drummer. The worst habit in the fuckin world! - The Rev will wake up in the worst hangover he has ever had in the fuckin world and when he goes to bed as drunk he has ever been in the world, when he’s sober when he’s this when he’s hungry, when he’s tired, when’ he’s anything – he talks about himself. He talks about allllll the things he did last night, how cool his fuckin drums were...how great he was, he just cannot fucking stop talking about himself (to Zacky) You agree?
Zacky: Yeah, Can I bite you?
(Synyster’s laughter)
RR: Er maybe later…
Synyster: You can bite me but not hard
Zacky: I’m waiting till later
RR: What couldn’t you live without?
Zacky: Besides my band members... it’s gonna be a sweet one.
Synyster: I’m gonna answer for him, he says Synyster Gates.
Zacky: absolutely, he’s one of my best friends in the world. He looks out for me I look out for him.
Synyster: He’s my tour guy he better fuckin say yeah…
Zacky: We share beds
The Rev enters with the Larry ‘The man that makes things happen’
RR: Did you ever have any preconceptions of the music industry?
Zacky: I don’t think we came in with closed minds expecting it to be any kind of way.
Synyster: Well It depends type of band that we are I don’t think that we were scared we have Warner Bros (band’s label) wanting us and there seeing these seven minute fuckin songs and there’s no way there gonna mould us in to a fucking 2minete 30 second song pop band y’know and we were absolutely fuckin ecstatic, we got 100% creativity and that’s the most important things but there are times that you have to bend to, they have certain ideas and you have to trust them, they know what kids like and if you want to get your music to more kids you gonna have to.
Larry: I don’t see them as bending I see them more as, What they have is this tremendous self confidence of who they are and what they are as a result of that they have an open mind because they know that they can trust themselves, and they be like you know what we will do that but it will still be Avenged Sevenfold.
Synyster: We will always do it our way
RR: What is the meaning of life?
The Rev: My answer to this is in two parts –
The first part answer A is Monty Python
Answer B would be to die with as many exciting, wonderful and fun memories as possible and with as little regrets as possible, kinda like a challenge to life the best life you can.
RR: What was the last thing you obsessed over?
Synyster: I tell what the last thing for Zack Vengeance is kissing girls because he wasn’t too into kissing girls he just wanted blow jobs – hahaha!
Zacky: To be honest life is to short for all the small talk or kissing or whatever you want to call it
Synyster: He was worried about bad breath, am I being too bold? Cos that’s the truth!
Zacky: But now I’m evolved…I carry along gum with me, mouthwash and toothpaste and toothbrush in case any prospects come along

The Rev: I get all these fuckin ones, my questions are way to profound every fuckin time – but I like it fuck it…
True or False: Every act of kindness comes down to lust or greed…
My answer would be definitely lust or greed but our most kind acts come down to selfishness in one way or another, BUT there are exceptions to everything, every selfish person could have a moment of selflessness, like when your mom’s drowning and you go into the river to try sand save her that’s nothing to do with lust or greed
But most of our decisions are based on lust or selfishness, to get as much pleasure out of life as possible.
Mr. Gates reveals his question: What is the greatest song ever written and why?
Synyster: For me it would be Stubb (A Dub) by Mr Bungle, it’s the greatest song ever written – it’s brilliant, it’s everything I ever wanted to do with music.
Rev: I definitely couldn’t choose the greatest songs there’s too many
Synyster: That’s what you’re gonna say??!
Zacky: At this point in my life I would say Would? By Alice in Chains, I can't really put my finger on it, it does something horrible to me, it’s got this raw emotion, it’s not musically the best song but it captures a feeling...
What would you say was your best song?
RR: We’re not talking about me…
Zacky: You gotta know what it feels like
RR: Ok…I would have to say November Rain, I always wait for that build up when Slash gets on that piano, that’s all I know is that place in that song is the greatest thing I’ve ever heard.
Rev: I would have to say Estranged for our singer Shadows
Zacky: Estranged is my new answer!
Synyster: Stubb (A Dub) or Estranged for me
RR: You’re stranded on a desert island who are the three people you choose to be stranded with?
Zacky: Wow who’s gonna taste good… 3 people?
Synyster: I know who they are you Fuck!
Zacky: Can we change that to four other people?
Synyster: You don’t need four other people fuck Johnny!
Zacky: He’s entertainment man I love that kid

Synyster: We grew up together, not only grew up together we’re best fucking friends, we didn’t hang out with anybody else
Zacky: We’re a family that most people wouldn’t fuckin understand
Synyster: We didn’t just say hey lets get some people and start a band , we knew we were all fuckin friends and there was no how do we start a band and find the people to do this. Our best friends played different fuckin instruments and that’s how we started so I would be devastated if I lost one of these people in my life over anybody else in the fucking world, they’re everything…
