They're more metal than punk.
Their influences are Metallica, Iron Maiden, and In Flames.
BUT they do have a couple soft songs that anyone would like. Get the song "I Won't See You Tonight Pt. 1" or "Warmness on the Soul"

I'm just using the Sex Pistols as a good punk band and Green Day as an overrated "punk" band.
