Calgary has some awesome groups coming to town this fall...
KMFDM, YellowCard, Ministry, Billy Talent, Alexisonfire with Moneen and guests...
More well known artists Sting with Annie Lennox, Sarah McLaughlin, Alice Cooper
Anyone going to any of these or other concerts?

Yellowcard/The Starting Line is definitely reccomended by me. They're so fucking great live.. the energy is awesome. *seeing them November 5th*

My and my friends might be road trippin' up for the Billy Talent concert. ;D I think that's the one I may be seeing as well... my man is going to go to Ministry... (I said no thanks to that one,) but was thinking about seeing Yellowcard due to Phunk's raving about them.... we'll have to see what the fund situation looks like... I have priorities, and the season opener comes first! |

It's all about the Flames.... (Especially since the venue Yellowcard is at is standing room only...  ) |

I love the Flames, but I'd go to a show over a game... I love the feeling of being in a crowd of people, pushed up against a barricade, the music blaring.
Music is first in my life over hockey though, lol. I'd just go to a different game, esepcially with no guarantees of this season even starting on time.

Ah see, and hockey is my life... I was watching hockey before I ever listened or cared to listen to my first album. That said, if it was one of my all time favorite groups/singers/band, I'd definately be there... unfortunately none of those mentioned is in that category for me. I KNOW I'll enjoy a hockey game. Can't say the same for a concert by a group I barely know.
(The home opener is when they'll raise the Western Conference Champions banner as well.... that's the real reason I want to go to it.)
Besides, I hate pushy crowds... And I hate having to kick someone's ass for pushing me, so I just avoid situations where that may occur. ;D
