The offer is for 2.5 mil/year for three years, with a guaranteed 2 mil even if the WHA never plays a game.

Crosby would be stupid to turn this down. At the same time, then he's stuck in the WHA for three years, and if he wants to play in the NHL, MAY end up with a rookie salary after earning 2.5 mil for three years.

He's turned it down anyways... that took a lot of balls. Good on him. As he says, you work your whole life to play in the NHL.... not the WHA.
