The birthday candles number
Nineteen and one plus one
So I thought I'd start a silly thread
And have a little fun!
The first one on the cake, so fine
Is numbered so, because you’re mine
Always first, you float my boat
The Captain always, (and one of note!)
Two and three, for courage bound
For dragons slain and heart so sound
Four and five, for humour, wit
For giggles in the night, (you just don’t quit!)
Six and seven, you know what for!
Once Daddy’s home, and bolts the door.
Eight and nine, for daring to dream
For believing in truth, and all that that means!
Ten and eleven, are for character alone,
For you stand to the test when all’s said and done.
Twelve and Thirteen, for family and friends,
For loyalty, strength, it just never ends.
Fourteen and fifteen, are reserved for love,
For faith, hope, and charity, all the above.
Sixteen and seventeen, for being a man among men,
Head and shoulders above, for being a 'TEN'.
Eighteen and nineteen, (can I possibly say more?)
For waiting, so patient, for what lies in store.
Twenty is for what you used to be,
Maybe not legal, but just right for me!
Twenty- one's for the future to come.
For goals to be reached, to find your place in the sun.
For a new home, for voyages, for life yet to be,
To fulfill those dreams, and find them with me!!
