ALDS:
Minnesota/New York
Prediction: Twins in 5
Minnesota comes in as the hotter team as with the hotter pitching. If Santana gets two apperances, that's two wins for the Twins, leaving them to take 1 in 3. They can do it, especially since the Yankees pitching has been less than stellar down the stretch.
Boston/Anaheim
Prediction: Red Sox in 4
Sorry Anaheim, but your run down the stretch won't live on as legend. It will be the season that 'could have been' Anaheim is a good team, they have good bats and good pitching. Boston is a better team in bats and pitching. Guerrerro, this isn't your year.
NLDS:
Los Angeles/St. Louis
Prediction: Cardinals in 4
It's been so long since the Cards had to play an important game that they've forgotten the experience. No worries, Card fans, the MLB leading team will set early. The pitching matchup saw Carpenter and Penny each sitting out on either side, advantage St. Louis. Pujols, Edmonds, Walker and Rolen own Bradley, Green and Finley.
Houston/Atlanta
Prediction: Astros in 3
Yes, I predicted an Astros sweep over the Braves. Why? Simply because there is no team in baseball that is hotter than the Houston Astros. Roger Clemens has the arm rested, Bagwell and Biggio have been on fire of late, and the Braves, even with Sheffield and Maddux, face it, choked anyway. Without that big bat and junky arm, choking will be easier for the Braves.
ALCS:
Minnesota over Boston
NLCS:
St. Louis over Houston
World Series:
Minnesota over St. Louis

ALDS: Yankees over Twins in 4: Yankees simply overwelm the Twins.
Angels over Red Sox in 5: Will be the most exciting series of the DS, and the Angels are riding high, while Boston sputters and continue rich history of not winning.
NLDS: Cardinals over Dodgers in 4: Cardinals hitting is better than Dodgers pitching.
Braves over Astros in 5: Braves were near the top in hitting and pitching since the All-Star break, and the Astros have never won a playoff series.
ALCS: Angels over Yankees in 6: Yankees pitching has struggled, and Angels are strong on offense.
NLCS: Braves over Cardinals in 6: These Braves have the look that they won't die. Plus, the Cardinals haven't been to the WS since 1987.
World Series: Braves over Angels in 6: The least likely group of Braves succeed in what past teams couldn't do.

No homerism there at all, eh atl? If predictions held their worth, the Braves wouldn't be in the postseason. These Braves will suprise some people. Why shouldn't the Braves win?

I think that Houston is too hot a team with too much firepower to lose in the NLDS, not to mention, the Braves are already certified chokers.

The Braves have been near the top in hitting and pitching since the All-Star break. Also, like I mentioned before, this isn't the same Braves as year's past. The Braves were either pitching- or hitting-dominant in every season. This season, they are equally as strong. Not to mention, the Houston Astros have never won a playoff series. Biggio and Bagwell have played like shit everytime they swing the bat in the postseason. The Braves are stronger out in the field than the Astros. Chipper > Ensberg Furcal > Everett Giles > Kent Franco/LaRoche = Bagwell Estrada > Ausmus Thomas/Marrero = Biggio A. Jones = Beltran Drew = Berkman

I'll admit I didn't follow the Braves as much as I would have liked to this year, but all I'll say to that is that Houston is the hottest team in baseball, period. I don't care who's better in what, winning 11 games comes down to the hotter team, not who's the best, or who isn't.
I see Houston winning this series based on momentum and pitching. The Braves always get unlucky come October for whatever reason, but it always happens, and I cant see Atlanta winning this.

If you're going by who's hottest at the time, why aren't you picking the Angels? They are a helluvah lot hotter than Boston. I'm not seeing your logic here.

Boston is downright BETTER than the Angels, so no problem.
I'm picking Minnesota to win. They've been very hot down the stretch.

Yeah, after they clinched and didn't go as much with their regulars. I am a baseball fan, dummy, and I may not know as much as you, but Minnesota will beat the Yankees and they are my pick to win the series.

And at least I'm not a homer who expects my team to beat the hottest team in baseball. Hell, I didn't pick the Mariners to make the playoffs, nor did I pick the Cubs to at the start of the season.

Hell, I didn't pick the Mariners to make the playoffs, nor did I pick the Cubs to at the start of the season. You're a fucking liar. A team that was 5 outs from making the World Series that makes only improvements, and you didn't have them going to the playoffs? I had them winning the division, but not winning the World Series. You're full of bullshit.

Geez Atl, we suck. Both out Series winners lost in the first round... Anyways... New York/Boston Bosox in 6 This is the year for the Bosox. Why do I say this? Because going into this series, Boston has much better pitching, as long as Pedro's daddy doesn't get to him. The Yankees, if they hope to win, will need to make sure that the top three in the order, Jeter, A-Rod and Sheffield produce to get the Red Sox out of the game early. Even though there aren't any weak spots behind those three, there isn't much weakness in the Boston pitching staff. They'll need Pedro and Schilling to win two games each, equaling 4. On the other side of the ball, Boston will need to use the long ball to great effect, as this is one of the better defensive teams we've seen in a while. Not only that, but with 64 comeback wins including the postseason, you need to take the Yankees out of games early by tacking up 3 and 4 run innings. This will be another fun series to watch, but Boston will take it. Houston/St. Louis Cardinals in 6 Houston, the hottest team in baseball, will simply be overwhelmed by the power in the Cards lineup. Clemens and Oswalt will only get 3 starts combined in the series, since they both went on three days rest, whereas the Cards pitching staff is ready to go. As far as bats go, this will be interesting. The killer B's vs. Pujols, Rolen, Edmonds and company. I'd give an advantage to the Cards in that regard, unless Beltran can have another huge series and inspire the rest of the lineup to do better than usual.
