shit happens man, just gotta deal with it.
I'm guessing this is probably the first time it happened, It won't be the last.
Just gotta keep your head clear of the situation, the worst thing you can do is get another girlfriend. Don't even think about dating.
go focus your energy else where, like go to the gym, do your homework or something

don't be angry, it makes you do dumb things. so I got in a fight with the ex before, ditched the phone at home and went out for a ride. (I love the mechanics of cars so I thought it would help me out) It did, until some dumbass cut me off. So the first thing that busted into my head was "I'm gonna hunt this fucker down" chased the little bitch across town and then realized I put myself, my car and other people at jeopardy. cooled off and drove home.
don't forget, you'll always have more dates, girlfriends, lovers whatever the fuck you wan tto call it later on in life. she won't be the last.
edit: and about the anger thing, I meant that to all things in life. I punched some kid in the mouth because I had a bad day and he said something stupid so I decided to shut him up myself. so word of advice, when you're angry shut the whole world out.
