Venting and stuff

I just need to vent about people and the "grr"ness they give me.

I'm a moderator at another forum, and I've been a moderator there since last August. I know the rules, and I know how to do my job. The webmaster is a friend of mine, and he trusts me to make the right decisions in bad situations.

Someone there started a thread that was full of speculation, and then someone called her out on it stating it wasn't necessary. (This was while I wasn't there, so I couldn't end it quick.) This girl shot back with an attitude and told her to take her attitude elsewhere. So I simply locked the thread and explain why I did so.

She takes the liberty to complain in the forums Questions and Comments section and goes on and on about censorship and whatnot. Like geeze, I'm doing my freaking job, if you don't like it, go elsewhere. Who is she to complain, she joined the forum just to start this thread that speculates.

It really bothers me when I'm disrespected for what I'm doing. Being a moderator is not exactly a walk in the park. Argh, they bug me.

Not to sound mean or anything, but you do have a short fuse when it comes to things that you don't agree with. Like on here, I didn't want to explain my joke, and you viewed it as a sign of disrespect. The line between disagreement and disrespect isn't as thin as you make it out to be.

Again, that's just my observation.

Well as I've stated repeatedly, I didn't find it as something to joke about, and i found it disrespectful.

But in this case, it was a clear breaking of rules that have been being used for two years on that forum now. She was in the wrong, and the rest of the staff agreed. It's been taken care of, but I don't appreciate disrespect in any form, especially when I'm trying to do my job.

How long was she a member? She may have not known/read all the rules. I know I certainly don't give much attention when I first sign up.

But you still are more apt to blow a gasket than most people.

And there's certainly a reason. I used to be very tolerable until I got disrespected one to many times. Now I won't put up with people's shit if I don't like it.
