Trish's Mom has opened her eyes today! She's coming along just great! I want to thank everyone who has given Trish and her family so much support this past week.

Hi everybody!
An update on Matt's earlier post- my mom is off the ventilator and woke up this morning!! Still quite sedated and there are tests to go but she's improving by the day and the road to recovery has begun! We're all so thrilled with her progress and are so relieved to see her improving even hourly!
My family are all so very appreciative of the kind words , thoughts and prayers that all of you have sent our way and I am so touched by the stream of PMs to my inbox from so many of you! At a really difficult time, your friendship has meant so very much to me!!
The most important member of my family has been my source of strength, my light through this nightmare and though I thanked him earlier, I must do so again. If text messages, phone calls and care were gold, I'd be the richest woman alive! But more importantly, I am rich beyond compare in other, more important ways because of him! You're my rock, my Southern man and I can never find enough words to tell you you how much I .......

My Mom is doing so great!! Her first test came back fine and she's been allowed (finally) to get out of bed for a short time. Hopefully she's being moved down to the cardiac ward tomorrow! The closer they move you to the exit doors of CICU the better you are! It looks I'll be heading for home on Tuesday and back to the fun of my lust room with y'all! I'll probably be back down here again in another week or so but it's going to be good to be back amongst you for a bit! I've missed you all but Matt has kept me up to date on what's been happening here (and I snuck into the Lounge to read once or twice after things settled a bit!  ) Thanks so much again to all of you, for the hugs and kisses, the cheery words and support! (the PMs are coming with my personal thank yous!) Positive energy, vibes and mojo do work!! And a HUGE  to my Georgia Man!! The clock in Gatlinburg is ticking down again!  |

Oh God....I just saw this and I don't know what to say. My mother died recently, (I didn't want to tell anyone here) and I hope your mother is ok. It is really painful losing your mother and I'm glad to hear she is doing better.
