That's right folks. What used to be as simple as Americans sewing a Canadian flag on their backpacks when overseas has escalated into a New Mexico company making "Canadian Kits" How to be CanadianMy favourite is;

You can pick out the posers by checking to see if their backpack is from MEC. If not, it's an imposter!

Actually, football is the number one sport in Canada, no matter what some guide package says.
And the answer to that question would be either Doug Flutie or Lui Passaglia

Football? It's popular, but hockey's the number one sport. THere are a lot of people who don't know who Lui Passaglia is, but everyone knows who Gretzky is.

So why has the Grey Cup been the highest rated event in Canada since the beginning of time? *sighs Just because a television event is the highest rated in Canada doesn't make it the most popular sport. The Grey Cup is a good football game. But hockey games are more popular. Why? Because everyone is out playing them. Everyone is a hockey player. Whether or not they're good hockey players is a completely different story. Not everyone plays football. Plus, the Grey Cup falls on a Sunday, generally people don't work, it's much easier to make time to watch.

Cam, listen to Dan Rusell's sportstalk during both the NHL and CLF season. 90% of the calls in the open segment are hockey related. I like the CLF as much as any Canadian, but we're a hockey country.
Simply put hockey>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>football in Canada

It's just the fact that hockey doesn't seem Canadian anymore.
At least with football is all Canadian, all the time.
The fact that it took 10 years between Canadian cup finalists shows something...

It shows nothing. 90% of the players in the CFL are American. That shows something. The majority of the players in the NHL, for each of those teams between the Canadian teams, were Canadian. Don't look at the location of the franchise, look at the nationalities of the players who play for them. They're mostly Canadian.

It's still Canada's sport, no matter how much Bettman fucks it up in the U.S. CFL is strictly Canadian, but every city in Canada that has both hockey and football will place hockey first
